Hello my name is Mayumi. I am a Tokyo native educated in Japan and U.S. I have a Master's degree in Statistics, Math. I have experience tutoring math and Japanese to the students of different ages and levels. For math, I tutor fun math to 2-3 graders and up, algebra and geometry to middle school students and advanced level math to high school students. I am a mother of a 13 year old and she thinks I am great at breaking down the math problems to the simplest level. I would like to share my skills to help you understand and improve your math studies and make you feel more confident and comfortable with your school work. For Japanese, I tutor students with no previous experience to the students who are preparing for an interview in Japanese. I enjoy meeting students and customize the lessons in detail according to their needs and levels.

Hobbies
I like any kind of arts. I enjoy dancing, cooking, traveling, going out for a walk with my dog and getting together with my friends. I have a family and relatives in Japan, friends from all over the world since we lived in Tokyo, Hong Kong and London before moving to San Francisco. They are all my supporters in my life. My strong point ? "Being kind and patient". I am a good listener.
